Bright Futures Child Care

Food Program

Recent evidence suggests that dietary patterns set in childhood may predict occurrences in adulthood of obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cancers.

Starting kids out right, providing balanced nutritional meals during early childhood,
encourages good eating habits that will stay with them a lifetime.

Bright Futures Child Care participates in the Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).  We are excited to be accepted into this program which allows us to receive funding towards food for the children.  With the assistance of the CACFP, we will be providing Breakfast, Lunch & 2 snacks to the children that attend the center.

If your child will be arriving past 8:30 a.m., we ask that they would have eaten already at home.  A good breakfast is an important way to start your day.  Our a.m. snack should not take the place of a good balanced breakfast.

CACFP paperwork is required on every child enrolled in our center.  Upon enrollment you will be given a CACFP Child Enrollment Form and a CACFP Meal Benefit Income Eligibility Form.  These forms are due back to the daycare office one week after enrollment and must be kept on file for our annual audit.

If you should have any questions about CACFP, please don't hesitate to contact us.
